The Best Standing Desks for Your Home Office That Will Rise to The Occasion
Sitting at a desk all day can cause aches, pains and long-term damage. One of the quickest and easiest ways of alleviating these issues is switching from a conventional desk to one that allows you to stand up while you work. Standing desks have become increasingly popular and sought after in recent months. With much of the world working from home, considering your comfort and safety while working is more important than ever.
You don’t need us to tell you that standing helps your posture, keeps you moving, improves circulation and much more. While we don’t claim it’s a cure-all, being able to break up an entire day of sitting down with a half an hour here and there of standing up can also go a long way to improving your productivity and wellbeing.
There are some who may wish to stand all day, but for those who wish to do it periodically, this is where getting an adjustable standing desk may be a good option. Having the flexibility to alter the height of your working area so that you can switch from sitting down to standing up without having to rearrange your desk area is always a bonus.
When choosing your standing or adjustable desk there is one main choice to be made. You can opt to replace your desk entirely or utilise an on-desk solution
The latter allows you to keep your existing desk, which is likely to be cheaper, but generally means you only get enough adjustable desk space for your computer. Whereas, if you go for a whole desk replacement you get the full expanse of your workspace at any height. A bonus of buying a brand new full-size adjustable desk is that you can also lower it to below the normal height of a desk, making it entirely customisable and potentially more comfortable for your individual needs when sitting.
To help you get an idea of what’s out there, we’ve compiled some of our favourite options by looking at style, ease of installation, how easy they are to adjust, build quality and of course the price.<
